Kuwait Mobile License Bidders


The Establishing Committee for Kuwait’s third mobile telecommunications company issued today an update on the public auction process, for the sale of a 26% share in the third mobile telecommunications company.

The deadline for submission of bids was November 18 and the Establishing Committee has received nine bids for the 26% share. The bidders that have submitted their bids are: 1 - Saudi Telecom, 2 - Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat), 3 - Turkcell, 4 - A consortium comprised of Kuwait Finance House, AREF Investment Group and Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport Co., 5 - Batelco Kuwait Consortium comprised of Bahrain Telecommunications Company and the Investment Dar K.S.C.C., 6 - A consortium comprised of the Noor Financial Investment Company, Petra Jordanian Mobile Telecommunications Company and the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, 7 - Dhow Communications Consortium comprised of Kuwait Cable Vision and Iraq Holding, 8 - Global Investment House, and 9 – A consortium comprised of the National Industries Group and Kuwait Privatization Projects Holding Co.
