How to Use a Calling Card

Making calls overseas can cost a fortune if you have not discovered the benefits of using international phone card. After buying your international phone card, you will receive a PIN - a personal number used to access the system and make calls. To place calls using prepaid phone card, you must use a touch-tone telephone, and follow a few simple steps:
- Purchase phone card, and get your PIN number and access codes
- Dial the toll-number or the Local Access Number from any phone
- Listen to the voice instructions
- Enter your PIN number
- The prompt will tell you the balance of the phone card
- Enter the destination number (for most phone cards, it starts with 011 + country dialing code + area code + phone number)
- The prompt will tell you how many minutes available for that call

The calling card balance will be reduced based on how long the call, minutes rounding, and any applicable charges and fees. If you use a local access number to make a call, you will get more minutes for your destination. Remember that your family and friends are just a call away.
