Guangzhou Global Telecom Opens Branch in Macau

Guangzhou Global Telecom Inc., a mobile phone handset and prepaid calling card distributor and mobile handset value-added services provider, has opened a branch in Yingwei, Macau where it will sell mobile phones and mobile phone parts while providing technological value-added services, and engaging in the import and export trading business.

Macau, with a population of 500,000, was chosen because it is one of the important international centers of business, travel, and finance. Furthermore, Macau is a big mobile market with mobile users reaching 600,000 at end of July 2006, a 25 percent increase in comparison to the same period of 2005.

Guangzhou Global Telecom Inc., maintaining relationships with China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, hopes to become one of the largest sales and distribution centers for mobile phones, mobile phone parts and prepaid mobile phone cards in China. A capital infusion of $150,000 in August 2007 gave the Macau branch the ability to grow and expand.
