Etisalat holds talks with Spice on entering Indian market

India UAE-based operator Emirates Telecommunications said that it held meetings with India's Spice Communications and others about possibly making investments to enter the Indian market, writes the Economic Times. Chairman Mohammad Hassan Omran was quoted as saying that they have entered into direct meetings with various entities but nothing has been finalised yet. He also said that they are studying different market entry strategies to determine the most appropriate fit, including studying a greenfield licence announced by the Indian government.
