Charity Phone Cards in Poland
Every year, 600 hearing impaired children are born in Poland, half of them suffering from severe hearing loss. With their chance of successful rehabilitation being the greatest during the first few months of their lives, it is important to take care of these children at an early age.
Telekomunikacja Polska (Poland Tlecommunication company) joined with the TP Group Foundation, have prepared special charity phone cards. Two polish zlotys from the sale of each card will be appropriated to the Dream Sounds program conducted by the TP Group Foundation. The objective is to provide these hearing impaired children with learning aids and the equipment necessary for early rehabilitation.
By contributing to this program, the Group once again establishes social responsibility as one of its major priorities.
The TP foundation prepared one million charity cards. They are easily distinguishable from other cards since they feature photos of children and objects used in therapeutic classes for hearing impaired people. Valid for two years from the date of their production, these cards are available in points of sale across Poland.
To encourage this action, TP will donate the calling time equivalent to 2 slottys for each card. Anyone who buys a specially marked 15-credit phone card will consequently contribute to the Dream Sounds Program through which the TP foundation has already taken care of over a thousand people.
