Orange Switzerland unveils iPhone pricing
Orange Switzerland will offer three tariff plans for the 3G iPhone that will be available from 11 July. Orange will be offering the Apple iPhone 3G at Orange Centers as well as through specialised dealers and at the Apple Premium Resellers.
Customers will be able to choose between iPhone Optima 30, iPhone Optima 100 and iPhone Maxima, cost CHF 44, CHF 61 and CHF 99 per month. All tariffs include 1 GB mobile data per month (extra MB costs CH 0.10) plus 100 minutes access to Orange Wi-Fi hotspots in Switzerland and other Orange territories around the world. The Optima 30 and 100 include 30 and 100 minutes of free calling to Swiss, European and US numbers, while Maxima includes unlimited calling within Switzerland. All tariffs include 50 free SMSs send within Switzerland.
The 3G iPhone 8GB costs CHF 349 with a 12 months Optima 30 contract, CHF 199 with 24 months Optima 30 contract, CHF 299 with a 12 months Optima 100 contract, CHF 149 with a 24 months contract, CHF 249 with 12 months Maxima contract and CHF 99 with a 24 months Maxima contract. The 3G iPhone 16GB costs CHF 399 with a 12 months Optima 30 contract, CHF 249 with 24 months Optima 30 contract, CHF 349 with a 12 months Optima 100 contract, CHF 199 with a 24 months contract, CHF 299 with 12 months Maxima contract and CHF 149 with a 24 months Maxima contract.
Orange also offers the 3G iPhone is also available for customers of the free Orange Young option for Swiss younger than 27 years and students, including 30 free SMSs per month and free calling to other Orange customers during weekends and weekdays between 19.00 and 07.00 hours.
For its SME customers Orange will offer an iPhone option for CHF 19.00 per month that includes 50 SMS messages, 1 GB of data transmission and 100 minutes of Wi-Fi credit. This iPhone option for business customers can be combined with the Optima Business and Group Unlimited tariffs. At the same time Swiss mobile retailer Mobilezone unveiled that it will be selling the Apple 3G iPhone devices in more than 130 outlets around Switzerland from 11 July.
